General Policies

Important guidelines and policies to ensure a safe, productive, and enjoyable training experience.

Safety

Students are expected to follow all range safety rules without exception:

Additional safety requirements may apply depending on the training location and type of instruction. For the safety of everyone involved, I reserve the right to stop training or remove a participant from the firing line if necessary.

Eligibility

Firearms training is available to individuals who are legally permitted to possess and handle firearms and who meet any applicable range requirements.
Training for minors may be available with a parent or legal guardian present and is considered based on age, maturity, and the type of training requested.

Refunds and Cancellations

I understand that life happens, and sometimes plans need to change. Below is the policy for cancellations and rescheduling. My goal is to ensure fairness while also protecting the time and resources that go into preparing for each course.

Deposit Requirement

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your seat. With at least 48 hours’ notice, the deposit may be transferred one time to another available class scheduled within 30 days of the original class date, subject to availability. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice and no-shows forfeit the deposit.

Cancellation / Rescheduling

I understand that plans change. Your deposit is non-refundable because it reserves your spot in class, but if you need to reschedule, just give me at least 48 hours’ notice, and I’ll be happy to apply the deposit to another available class date. Rescheduled classes must be completed within 30 days of the original class date. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice and no-shows will forfeit the deposit.

Emergencies

Emergencies and unexpected situations happen. Please contact me directly if something serious comes up, and I’ll handle those situations individually whenever possible.

To request a reschedule or cancellation, please contact me at 763-218-0539 or via email at heather@hartmantactics.com.

Additional Policies

Clothing

For firearms training, closed-toe shoes and appropriate eye and ear protection are required. Additional clothing recommendations may be provided depending on the course or range.

Audio/Video Recording

Audio and video recording are not permitted during training without prior approval. Photos or video may occasionally be taken by Hartman Tactics LLC with the permission of those being photographed or recorded.

Cell Phones/Tablets

All phones or tablets brought into the classroom or out on the range must be set to vibrate or mute. Please refrain from using them during instruction to minimize distractions and ensure a focused learning environment.
