You Don’t Need to Learn Realtor Safety the Hard Way
You show up early to prep for an open house. The house is quiet. You unlock the door, step inside, and do a quick walkthrough to make sure everything’s in place.
Then a car pulls up.
You don’t recognize it. It’s early. The person who gets out isn’t the name on your schedule, but they say they’re here to “beat the rush.”
You’re polite. You hesitate. You let them in.
And now it’s just the two of you in an empty house.
This is exactly the kind of moment most agents don’t think about until after something feels off. And even then, they often talk themselves out of the warning signs.
I’ve heard too many versions of this scenario. The details change. The risk doesn’t.
I spent 19 years as a detective investigating violent crimes, sexual assaults, and predatory behavior online.
What I teach now is what I wish more people knew before they found themselves in a dangerous situation. It comes from firsthand experience, not theory, not guesswork, but real cases where warning signs were present and often misunderstood or overlooked. My goal is to help you recognize them sooner and respond with confidence. That’s why I created the Realtor Safety & Awareness Clinic.
But before I tell you what’s in it, let’s talk about the common blind spots.
The Real Risks Hiding in Plain Sight
Real estate professionals face a unique set of safety challenges, ones most people outside the industry don’t really understand.
You meet strangers in isolated places
You share personal info across social media, texts, and apps
You’re expected to be available, flexible, and friendly, even when your gut tells you something isn’t right
You’re doing all of this without a clear safety protocol in place
That’s not a criticism. That’s reality. You were trained to sell homes, not assess threats.
But it’s possible to do both.
What Most Agents Don’t Know They Need
In my class, I walk agents through how criminals think, how they choose targets, and how to interrupt that process early, before they ever gain control.
We cover:
- Staying vigilant without being paranoid
- The color code system that helps you stay mentally ready in any situation
- Pre-assault indicators and how to spot subtle behavior cues
- The OODA loop and how to make faster, better decisions when something feels off
- How to screen clients before a showing, not just during one
- What to post and what to protect when it comes to your digital presence
- Lethal and non-lethal self-defense options based on comfort and readiness
- What to do if you need to act fast—emergency protocols, escape strategies, and communication tools that actually work
This isn’t theory or fear. It’s real-world instruction that can shift the way you approach your job without changing who you are.
You Deserve to Do This Job Safely
If you’ve ever thought, I probably should have a plan, you’re not alone. Most agents don’t realize how exposed they are until they take this class.
You can be confident, professional, and prepared without being paranoid or reactive. That’s the beauty of this training.
If you’re interested in more information or ready to make this part of your office’s training, message me. Let’s talk about the next session or how to bring this in-house.
You just need someone to teach it straight. You don’t have to learn safety the hard way.
