Course Description
Are you ready to take control of your safety and build confidence in handling firearms? Join me for my Women’s Only Introduction to Handguns course, designed to provide foundational skills in a supportive environment. Whether you're considering your first firearm purchase, unsure about using one you already own, or simply seeking empowerment, this course is for you!
As a retired Detective, NRA certified pistol instructor, and range safety officer (RSO), I focus on women’s handgun training and handgun safety training to address the unique challenges women face and offer personalized instruction.
Course Overview: In this introductory course, you will learn essential handgun fundamentals in a relaxed setting. The curriculum covers:
- Handgun Anatomy: Understand the components and names of a handgun.
- Basic Handgun Safety
- Proper Grip and Shooting Stance
- Trigger Press and Control
- Breathing Techniques
- Sight Alignment and Sight Picture
- Recoil Management
- Reloading
- Common Malfunctions
- Live Fire Practice to apply skills learned
Session Details:
- Duration: 3 hours
- Location: Copendero Indoor Range, 28075 Robinson Rd., Conroe, TX 77385, or private setting (pricing varies based on location)
- Group Size: Maximum of 6 participants for personalized instruction
- Equipment: Handgun rental available for an additional $10 per participant. Ear and eye protection provided.
- Ammunition: Participants provide their own ammunition or may purchase it at the range.
- Range Fees: Participants cover range fees ($11).
- Live Fire Practice: Opportunity to practice newly acquired skills under instructor guidance.

- Copendero Indoor Range Location: $200 per participant
- Private Location: Price dependent on location
- Range fees and ammunition not included.
